"Nine times out of ten, the easiest shit to do is the shit you should say no to. All the bad shit is the easy shit.

I stopped when my cousin died. She died choking on her own vomit when she was drunk. Me, sitting there, watching her lay on the ground...watching her son say: 'I want my mom, I want my mom...'. It killed me. That was either gonna be me or I was gonna lose my kids for some other reason - and I lost my baby sister to the same shit in January. I had a chance to go and pick her up in Colorado and bring her home, to help her but...you know...I wish I could have been the big brother to her instead of putting it on the back burner and thinking that she'll be okay.

After I got off alcohol, it was my kids that sustained me through the hard times. They won't ever understand how much they mean to me...I mean...they literally saved my life, man!

When I was a kid my grandma used to get us up really early and make us run. Man, I hated it. I HATED it. I asked her why she made us run and she goes: 'You will come upon hard times in your life and if your heart isn't strong, you won't be able to get through those hard times.'

I don't know your trauma, or your background and I'm not going to judge because everyone deserves a second chance. Making bad choices doesn't make you a bad person. No matter your walk of life, no matter your problems...everyone has something to bring to the table. We shouldn't be putting anyone down for their situation because we don't know what they are capable of."
